Joan Hudson has a love of 'cottages' and has collected them as travel souvenirs for years - from rose covered English cottages to Dominican Republic shanties. Many rocks and shells have also entered her home after beach vacations. When Joan and her husband Michael found themselves owners of a cottage on a rock covered beach, the two came together... Cottages on Rocks!!
Joan paints reproductions of the homes of friends and family, when not working on what has become her favourite style - row houses. Montreal is an old and historic city full of century old row houses and there is no shortage to choose from.
The beach on the shore of Lake St Louis in the St Lawrence River has no shortage of rocks!
